This soup is a new flavor to me. I've never made a wild rice soup so I figured it was about time. I chose to go with the creamy version because we all know a little cream makes nearly everything better, right?
Ingredients of wild cream of chicken soup

- Prepare 2 of boneless skinless chicken breasts.
- Prepare 1 cup of water.
- You need 1 box of long grain and wild rice, uncooked.
- It's 1 tbsp of celery salt.
- Prepare 1 cup of grated carrots.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of celery.
- You need of cream ingredients.
- It's 1/2 tsp of pepper.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of salt.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of flour.
- You need 1/2 cup of butter.
- Prepare 2 cup of half & half.
wild cream of chicken soup step by step
- combine all base ingredients in slow cooker on high for 4 hours..
- take out chicken and place on cutting board.
- in a bowl, combine pepper, salt, and flour.
- melt butter in suace pan over medium heat. slowly add flour mixture bowl.
- whisk in half & half until smooth.
- pour cream suace in slow cooker and continue to cook on high.
- shred chicken and place in cooker..
- continue to cook for 30 minutes on high or until desired thickness.
And just to clarify, by cream of chicken soup, I do mean the goopy gloppy condensed stuff that usually comes in a can and is magically useful in all sorts of down-home First things first.
