Ingredients of Creamed Spinach and Chicken Curry
- It's 1 kg of chicken cut into pieces.
- It's 500 grams of either tinned spinach ,or use two bunches of leaves.
- It's 1/2 cup of natural yogurt.
- It's 2 of onions ,chopped very fine.
- It's 2 tsp of chopped or pressed garlic.
- You need 4 of green chillies chopped very fine.
- You need 1 cup of tomato puree.
- Prepare 1 tsp of cumin powder.
- You need 2 tsp of coriander powder.
- You need 1 tsp of garam masala.
- You need 1 pinch of freshly grated nutmeg.
- You need 1 tbsp of cashew nuts.
- You need 1 tbsp of blanched ,peeled almonds.
- You need 1 tbsp of white poppy seeds.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of thick cream.
- It's 1 pinch of salt to taste.
- You need 1 tbsp of butter to fry.
- You need 2 cup of warm water.
Creamed Spinach and Chicken Curry step by step
- wash chicken pieces and marinade in yogurt and a little salt.
- soak nuts,almonds and seeds on warm water for twenty minutes,ground into fine paste.If spinach tinned ground to paste, If fresh blanche for 15minutes then ground into paste,do not throw away water.
- heat butter and chilli onion a garlic for 5-6 minute on low heat,and all spice except garam masala fry for two minutes.
- and tomato puree,cook for two minutes. and spinach and seedpaste,salt mix well.and marinated chicken fold in and cook for thirty minutes until chicken is tender,add the thickened cream.Mix well. serve with rice or naan.
