Ingredients of Cream of Rice Soup/Chowder

  1. You need 1 of large onion, chopped.
  2. It's 1 of celery rib, chopped.
  3. Prepare 1/4 cup of butter.
  4. You need 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour.
  5. You need 4 cup of chicken broth.
  6. It's 3 cup of cooked rice.
  7. You need 1 cup of cooked cubed chicken.
  8. Prepare 1/4 tsp of salt.
  9. It's 1/4 tsp of ground black pepper.
  10. It's 1 cup of evaporated milk.
  11. You need pinch of of parsley.

Cream of Rice Soup/Chowder instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, saute the onion and celery in butter until tender.
  2. Stir in flour until well blended.
  3. Gradually add chicken broth.
  4. Stir in rice, chicken, salt and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir until thickened. Stir in evaporated milk. Cook about another 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in parsley.
