Ingredients of Cream of Rice Soup/Chowder
- You need 1 of large onion, chopped.
- It's 1 of celery rib, chopped.
- Prepare 1/4 cup of butter.
- You need 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour.
- You need 4 cup of chicken broth.
- It's 3 cup of cooked rice.
- You need 1 cup of cooked cubed chicken.
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of salt.
- It's 1/4 tsp of ground black pepper.
- It's 1 cup of evaporated milk.
- You need pinch of of parsley.
Cream of Rice Soup/Chowder instructions
- In a large saucepan, saute the onion and celery in butter until tender.
- Stir in flour until well blended.
- Gradually add chicken broth.
- Stir in rice, chicken, salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir until thickened. Stir in evaporated milk. Cook about another 5 minutes.
- Stir in parsley.
