Ingredients of Tamale Soup
- You need 1 medium of onion.
- Prepare 1 medium of green bellpepper.
- You need 1 of salt, pepper, Cajun seasonings, olive oil.
- It's 1 can of cream of mushroom soup.
- Prepare 1 can of cream style corn.
- You need 2 can of whole kernal corn.
- Prepare 2 lb of ground meat.
- Prepare 2 can of beef broth.
- You need 2 can of Rotel tomato.
- It's 2 can of pinto beans.
- It's 2 can of large canned tamales (fresh are even better!).
Tamale Soup step by step
- Preheat skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground meat to skillet and season well.
- Add onions and bellpepper and cook well.
- When meat is done, transfer to a large soup pot.
- Add all canned goods to pot except tamales.
- Mix well.
- Simmer for 40-45 min.
- Remove tamales from paper and chop into bite size pieces.
- Add tamale pieces to pot and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Stir and enjoy! Great topped with shredded cheese and/or sour cream.
