Ingredients of Tamale Soup

  1. You need 1 medium of onion.
  2. Prepare 1 medium of green bellpepper.
  3. You need 1 of salt, pepper, Cajun seasonings, olive oil.
  4. It's 1 can of cream of mushroom soup.
  5. Prepare 1 can of cream style corn.
  6. You need 2 can of whole kernal corn.
  7. Prepare 2 lb of ground meat.
  8. Prepare 2 can of beef broth.
  9. You need 2 can of Rotel tomato.
  10. It's 2 can of pinto beans.
  11. It's 2 can of large canned tamales (fresh are even better!).

Tamale Soup step by step

  1. Preheat skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground meat to skillet and season well.
  3. Add onions and bellpepper and cook well.
  4. When meat is done, transfer to a large soup pot.
  5. Add all canned goods to pot except tamales.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Simmer for 40-45 min.
  8. Remove tamales from paper and chop into bite size pieces.
  9. Add tamale pieces to pot and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  10. Stir and enjoy! Great topped with shredded cheese and/or sour cream.
